The United Nations Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) has launched a call for proposals to support local, grassroots, women and young women’s civil society organizations in Nigeria to enhance their active participation and leadership in climate security efforts in conflict settings. The overall purpose of this call for proposals is to provide grants to local civil society organizations in Nigeria, focused on responses related to women’s participation and leadership in the prevention of climate-related conflicts and injustice, as well as in economic and political decision-making of women in climate security and climate justice. The call for proposals specifically contributes to WPHF’s overall goal of contributing to peaceful and gender-equal societies.
