Institutionalization of Evaluation Capacity Building through Universities

How do you effectively teach professors, researchers, and academic leaders to harness Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) to drive meaningful change? This was the mission of Cloneshouse in Kigali, Rwanda, where our Global Future Officer, Oludotun Babayemi, led a four-day workshop with 45 leaders from Nigerian universities.

Despite Nigeria's supportive evaluation policies, M&E is not considered in higher education programs. In this piece, Oludotun reflects on critical themes discussed with university leaders, such as stakeholder engagement, data quality, and the significance of Indigenous approaches to evaluation.

Read on to learn how universities can shape the future of M&E;
