Principles of Fundraising for NGOs 

When you start raising funds for your NGO, you have to decide and identify the purpose of fundraising. The only way you can get financial resources year after year is by developing a broad base of individual donors who donate with a feeling of reliability about your organization. The purpose of fundraising, then, is to build relationships. More simply put, instead of getting donations, the purpose of fundraising is to raise donors.

UNEP: UNV Young Talent

This initiative aims to engage young, talented individuals to become future environmental, pollution, and climate action leaders. The UNEP-UNV Young Talent Pipeline is a collaborative effort between UNEP and UNV with two main objectives:

  1. Deploy a second cohort of 12 young, talented individuals in roles aligned with UNEP’s mission.

  2. Recruit candidates from diverse regions, including Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.

Call for Mentors and Mentees: Science Advice Skills Development Program

The International Network for Governmental Science Advice is delighted to announce the launch of the third cohort of the Science Advice Skills Development Program to build the capacity of early and mid-career African scientists across the continent to practice science advice effectively. The program will start with a contact phase in the form of a virtual one-day introductory workshop, followed by a one-to-one mentoring phase with a science advice practitioner for up to 6 months. A closing workshop will be organized at the completion of the mentoring program.
