What Our Bands Are Working On

At Cloneshouse, we specialize in delivering high-quality MEL work that drives impact. We work with a range of partners, including international organizations, government agencies, and private sector firms, to support evidence-based decision-making. 1. UNICEF Project- Impact of Insecurity on Access to Learning in Katsina, Zamfara, and Niger States

Cloneshouse is spearheading technical communication and research oversight for a UNICEF-led study on the impact of insecurity on access to learning in Katsina, Zamfara, and Niger States, in collaboration with Oxford Policy Management Limited. Our team is ensuring the research design aligns with UNICEF’s objectives, conducting key informant interviews, and supporting data analysis and reporting. Beyond research, Cloneshouse is also developing communication and advocacy plans, ensuring that findings drive meaningful action. Throughout the project, we remain committed to the timely delivery of high-quality outputs that inform policy and programming.

 

2. Strengthening Justice Reform and Criminal Justice Monitoring in Nigeria: Cloneshouse's Technical Assistance to International IDEA

Cloneshouse is providing technical assistance to International IDEA Sweden to strengthen Justice Reform Teams (JRTs) and Criminal Justice Monitoring Committees (ACJMCs) in Nigeria. The project focuses on strategic planning, capacity building, and policy evaluation across Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Edo, Kano, Lagos, Plateau, and the FCT. Cloneshouse is developing work plans, refining mandates, and training stakeholders on monitoring and evaluation (MEL) systems. The initiative aims to enhance justice sector reforms and promote inclusivity for women, children, and persons with disabilities.

 

 3. Monitoring & Evaluation Support to Social Impact GmbH for ARRIVES: Reintegration of Nigerian Returnees

Cloneshouse, in partnership with Mainlevel Consulting, is providing MEL support to Social Impact GmbH on the ARRIVES project for Nigerian refugees returning from Germany. The project focuses on economic reintegration through coaching, employment, and business development in Nigeria. Cloneshouse is conducting a baseline study, revising the Theory of Change, and implementing mid-term and final evaluations using OECD/DAC standards. The evaluations will assess relevance, impact, and sustainability to enhance reintegration support services.

 

4. Impact evaluation on eHealth Africa Polio Outbreak Control Room (POCR) project in Cameroon, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Somalia, and Zambia.

Cloneshouse LLC is evaluating the impact of Public Health Infrastructure interventions (POCRs) on polio outbreak control across Cameroon, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Somalia, and Zambia. This study examines POCR effectiveness from 2020 to 2023, assessing improvements in disease control and outbreak response. It also evaluates compliance with the 7-1-7 model, a framework for rapid public health interventions. The findings will offer key insights into POCR sustainability and provide valuable lessons for strengthening future health responses.


5. Strengthening M&E for the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (PICNG) in Nigeria

Cloneshouse is partnering with PICNG to provide technical assistance across 12 Nigerian states, developing a comprehensive M&E framework that strengthens impact measurement. Our team is working closely with leadership to refine the Strategic Plan and design a clear, structured roadmap for implementation. A key milestone in this collaboration is the completion of the Strategic Plan Document, review, and development of impact indicators,  ensuring PICNG’s objectives align with stakeholder expectations. With this M&E framework, PICNG will have the tools to track progress, assess impact, and make data-driven decisions that enhance project effectiveness.


6. Driving Impact Through Tailor-Made MEL Support.

Cloneshouse is enhancing project performance through strategic, customized MEL support, equipping organizations with the skills and tools needed to improve data-driven decision-making, performance tracking, and impact measurement. From this quarter, Cloneshouse is providing MEL technical assistance to the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiatives, Monitoring & Delivery, and Connected Development with essential tools to strengthen decision-making, performance evaluation, and impact measurement.

How Do Analytical Choices Affect the Conclusions of Quantitative Impact Evaluations | May 21, 2025, 10 AM WAT

This session explores the impact of analytical decisions on the outcomes of quantitative research. Through the lens of "many-teams" analyses—where multiple analysts independently address the same research question—we'll examine how differing methodological choices can lead to varying conclusions. Drawing on lessons from the ARGIE (Analysing the Reliability of Government Impact Evaluations) project, we’ll discuss how enhancing analytical transparency can strengthen trust in government evidence and improve decision-making. Participants will engage in an interactive exercise, making real-time analytical choices and observing how these decisions influence results. The importance of Culturally Responsive Evaluation (CRE) and its alignment with systemic approaches such as “Systemic Evaluation for Gender Equality, Environments, and Marginalized Voices”. Stakeholder analysis brings to light diverse perspectives and highlights motivations and potential alignments or resistance within the evaluation or intervention process.
